YOUTH DANCE CELEBRATION 2011 at the Theatre Royal, Saturday 22nd October
YDC’11 is an initiative of the WYDmoves Dance Development programme in partnership with Imagine Arts Festival.
Imagine Arts Festival and WYDmoves (The Dance Unit of Waterford Youth Arts) presents YOUTH DANCE CELEBRATION 2011!!
Now in its 9th year, YDC’11 is a lively showcase of Waterfords finest Youth Dance, bringing keen and dedicated up and coming young dancers together to celebrate their passion for dance.
This year you will see Classical Ballet, Contemporary Dance, Jazz, Hip Hop and Irish Dance in this exciting celebration of dance styles.
YDC’11 features the work of local groups: WYDmoves Youth Dance Company, WYDmoves Next Steps, KC Academy of Irish Dance, Centre Stage, Konc3pt, The Place for Dance and Performing Arts, Waterford Ballet Academy, and Neet Feat (Arts Council’s Dance Artist in Residence Scheme).
Also featuring in YDC’ 11 are the Presentation 1st Year students and St Josephs students who have particpiated in the Waterford City Council Secondary School Arts Performance Programme titled BLAST : Mission Transition.
