Christmas Cracker

Saturday 20th December 2009, the younger section of WYDmoves aged 4-11 years showcased their work in a fantastic show called 'Christmas Cracker' and saw over 40 young dancers performing – for some it was their first time on stage. The dances were created through exploring imagination and resulted in a sharing of material created in their weekly workshops.

Ceiliuradh

Later that day the older age group (11-25 years) took to the stage to strutt their stuff – called 'CEILIURADH' (meaning celebration) this was an ideal opportunity for the Youth Dance Company to show their wares.

Ceilíuradh was devised and choreographed by Libby Seward and included a number of special guest appearances featuring two pieces that were seen at youth dance showcases in Dublin and Wexford. The lovely duet 'Now' by Brian McSweeny and Trish Murphy was seen in Dun Laoghaire in June and 'Perpetual Motion' which was seen in Wexford Opera House.
