Online Visual Arts Workshops
Visuals Arts Workshops are back for five weeks of engaging and imaginative workshops for 5 to 7, 8 to 10 and 11- to 13-year-olds with Jill Bouchier running the workshops for the first two groups and Ruth Flynn running the senior group.
Due to the pandemic all workshops will be run Online through ZOOM all you will need is a compatible device, some basic art supplies, and a quiet place at home to work.
Saturday Art Club is a varied programme where Jill and Ruth explores a range of media with the young people, sometimes thematically e.g. ‘Art through History’ or ‘Art from Around the World’ and often enabling our young artists to exhibit work of their own.
As part of the workshops young people explore everything from watercolors to pastels, from pottery to collage so theirs something for all budding and practicing young artists.
Jill Bouchier has worked with WYA for over 8 years and together with Jill, Waterford Youth Arts created Saturday Art Club. Originally from the UK, Jill studied art at the Chelsea School of Art and is a professional artist. Her most recent solo exhibition was in Waterford Goma Gallery.
