Film Workshop – Make Your Story. Shoot It. Share It. Ever wanted to make your own film? This 9-week hands-on Film Workshop is an opportunity to learn how films are created while working as part of a creative team. You’ll learn how to develop an idea into a finished short film. Across the nine weeks, you’ll experiment with camera work, visual storytelling, sound, lighting, green screen, scriptwriting and editing. You’ll also learn how to plan a production, create shot lists, work with actors and take on different roles behind and in front of the camera. No previous filmmaking experience needed— just bring your ideas, creativity and willingness to get involved. You’ll work in small teams, take on different roles and learn by actually making films rather than simply talking about them. You’ll face creative challenges, including telling a story without dialogue, experimenting with lighting, creating green-screen scenes and filming a short that appears to be made in one continuous take. The course finishes with a chance to create a short film with creative freedom, using the skills you’ve developed throughout the workshop.
