Film Workshops

Film workshops aim to develop young film makers working together to create original short films, animations and explore various film genre. Young people are enabled to make their own short films and are supported to participate in Film Festivals dedicated to young film makers.

Our team of youth film facilitators includes Thomas Grace and Jonah Anderson.

Thomas Grace, is an accomplished Waterford based Film Maker and Photographer.

Thomas takes the participants through all aspects of film using industry standard equipment. It is a lot of work but the rewards and the experience can sometimes ignite students' interest into a career they never thought possible or at the very least, enjoy this new experience.

Animation workshops are run by Jonah Anderson. With a diploma in Animation, Jonah has worked on many different projects with young people exploring the fields of animation, film and theatre. Jonah - "I’m passionate about developing my skills and abilities within the animation industry. An advocate for neurodiversity, I’m passionate about taking a strengths-based approach in working with other people".

Jonah is a graduate of Coláiste Dhúlaigh in Animation and holds a major award from IT Sligo in Communications. His foundation year at Coláiste Dhúlaigh was in Art & Design

Film workshop sessions cover everything from Storyboarding, Script development, Camera, Sound, Direction, Costume, Location, SFX, Green Screen, Animation and always while using wildly imaginative ideas and creativity.
