Dance Workshops

Dance workshops are run by professional dance artists and practitioner's Trish Murphy and Dee Grant. 

Trish Murphy graduated in 2007 with a BA (Hons) degree in Dance: Physical Theatre from Liverpool John Moores University. Since that time she has gained professional experience as a dance performer and actor. Her roles over ten years have also included dance and video production, choreography, teaching and community dance programmes.

Dee is a highly experienced Contemporary Dance Artist, Choreographer & previous Artistic Director and original founder of Myriad Dance (Wexford). Dee has over 25 years of experience working with the professional dance community, youth dance and dance in health sectors.

Dee runs the Youth Dance Workshops on Wednesdays and are creative based, participant centred and will work towards building choreographic ideas and a movement piece for 'Human Geography' to be performed later in the year.

Dance costs €45 per term. There are discounts for more than one family member. If any child has a difficulty paying the fee, then speak to us at WYA about our bursary scheme.

The workshops run on:

3-5 years: 4:00 - 4:45 pm - Thursdays

6-8 years: 5:00 - 6:00 pm - Thursdays

9-11 years: 4:30 - 5:30 pm - Wednesdays

12-16 years: 5:30 - 7:00 pm - Wednesdays

Places are limited, so a deposit of €20 will be required to ensure placement. Places are first come first serve, book early to avoid disappointment.
