Zach starts at a new school and finds himself navigating a world of colourful characters—goths, nerds, and even the notorious class bully. Beetroot is a heartfelt story about the challenges of fitting in, capturing all the awkwardness of teenage life, including the nerve-wracking first kiss.

On June 7th, 2025, as part of Cruinniú na nÓg, four youth theatres from across the island will perform at The Everyman Theatre in Cork. The participating groups were Activate Youth Theatre, UCC Youth Theatre, Barnstorm Youth Theatre, and Waterford Youth Arts.

Waterford Youth Arts showcased a scene from “Beetroot”. Following this, the full production of Beetroot was performed live in Waterford on June 14th at St. Patrick’s Gateway.
